OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

Back

Traditional and intensive outpatient treatment consists of structured group and individual counseling and thorough 12-step integration. Therapeutic therapies address the neurobiology of addiction, relapse prevention, anger management as well as gender-specific recovery issues.

Outpatient services include:

Individual & group counseling
Family support and education
Relapse prevention
Full 12-step integration
Client-centered case management
Co-occuring disorders treatment
Daily treatment

Outpatient treatment is available as part of a plan, or as an independent service. Both traditional and intensive levels are designed with client-centered case management, assuring the client's full collaborative input into treatment planning, implementation and monitoring. Each client's time commitment ranges from five to nine hours per week, most of which is scheduled during evenings and weekends to allow for work schedules and family considerations.

Outpatient services which address co-occurring disorders and cross-addictions, including nicotine, are available. To consider the family dynamics of addiction, clients are encouraged to involve family members in appropriate groups. Twelve-step meeting participation is an integrated part of all treatment activities. Discharge planning includes referrals to allied health professionals and community resources. The Outpatient Program is available through many insurance/managed care organizations.

Outpatient services are provided at locations adjacent to the George T. Pfleger Center and Socorro.
