Chief Support Technician Socorro Residential

This position supervises, directs, and coordinates the functions of the Support Technician staff. Monitor daily program operations and ensure adherence to policy and procedure within the Technician department.

Responsibilities:
1. Designate specific Technician staff assignments to fulfill facility operational needs.
2. Oversee inventory control of facility supplies, i.e., janitorial, linen, etc.
3. Oversee vehicle maintenance.
4. Direct the execution of urinalysis testing.
5. Attend weekly Case Conference meeting.
6. Ensure Technician adherence to policy and procedures.
7. Monitor the treatment documentation systems of the Techs to ensure that a high quality of documentation is being maintained by the Technician staff.
8. Address problems and solutions within the Tech department as reported by the Assistant Chief Support Tech and Support Techs.
9. Provide ongoing training, orientation, upgrading, and implementation of new systems within the Tech department.
10. Ensure compliance with contract and licensing requirements as they pertain to Technician Department functions.
11. Ensure that a clean, safe environment is maintained by cross checking all present systems.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge:
Must be knowledgeable in identifying patterns common to this population.
Must have a working knowledge of Cri-help’s structure and processes.
Ability to document client activities and/or carry out such written assignments is required.
Sufficient understanding of the Narcotics Anonymous and/or Alcoholics Anonymous programs (i.e. the twelve steps)

Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or equivalent in job experience.
Current CPR/First AID Certification Required

Certifications/Licenses:
Certification in alcohol and/or drug studies. Experience:
Minimum three years experience as a Technician required.

Special Conditions:
If a recovering addict/alcoholic must have five years continuous abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol and undergo random drug screening.

Literacy Program Coordinator
There is currently an opportuniy to volunteer in Cri-Help's LIteracy Program at both facilties, Pfleger Center in North Hollywood and Socorro Residential in East Los Angeles. Candidates should be bilingual(English/Spanish) and have a genuine interest in helping.
