SummaryTo provide leadership and supervision for the clients in treatment during all their program activities.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Supervise and direct the clients in the performance of all job assignments, assisting as needed.
  • Ensure that all clients report to their respective groups five minutes before group time so that role can be taken and the groups can start on time.
  • Actively check on client performance of their assigned tasks.
  • Report any safety/security infractions or trouble areas to Chief Support Technician and/or Assistant Chief Support Technician.
  • Complete all necessary client documentation, logs, maintenance reports, incident reports, etc., and assist when necessary.
  • For each shift, complete discharge forms for clients who leave treatment for any reason, and document relevant client behavior/observations.
  • Tour facility on a continual basis.
  • Supervise all indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Conduct routine urinalysis drug testing, skin checks, shake downs, eye checks, and searches of clients and/or their belongings upon return to the facility.
  • Attend shift change meetings and stay informed of activities occurring on your shift, i.e. new clients, discharges, illnesses, emergencies, etc.
  • Read all communications to Support Tech staff and reviewed as needed.
  • Assist Chief Support Technician and Assistant Chief Support Technician in ensuring that a clean, safe environment is maintained.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of policies/procedures and changes thereto.
  • Charting on at least three clients per shift.

 

Minimum Requirements 

 

Education / Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in alcohol/drug studies or, at minimum, working toward Chemical Dependency Certification from an accredited college.
  • Current CPR / First Aid Training Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

 

Experience:

  • Must have at least 1 year of qualifying job experience.

  • Time management
  • Must be knowledgeable in identifying patterns common to this population

 

Special Conditions:

  • If a recovering addict/alcoholic, you must have a minimum one year of continuous abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol.
